A bag containing explosive materials exploded at the Normal Manley International Airport in Jamaica.
Exploding bag at NMIA was a test of first responders
KINGSTON, Jamaica – OBSERVER ONLINE understands that a bag which exploded at the Norman Manley International Airport (NMIA) sometime after seven o’clock this evening was a test for first responders at the airport.
The explosion occurred at the check-in hall and the area has been reportedly cordoned off.
A senior Director at the Airports Authority of Jamaica (AAJ) said emergency responders, local responders as well as the police and military were on the scene.
Operations at all other sections of the airport were continuing as normal the AAJ official said.
